LONEALERT’s Customer Support and Training Manager, Val Clarke, has successfully achieved a national qualification to ensure customers receive the best training to implement lone working solutions.
Val has spent the past year working towards the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Learning & Development Certificate Level 3.
She spent one day each week at Solihull College, completing six written assignments and passing a live training exam to secure the qualification.
Val, who has worked in customer support and training at LONEALERT for five years, said: “The qualification is open to anybody who works in training and learning, equipping them with the knowledge and techniques to mentor members of staff effectively.
“It is all about understanding the training needs of different clients, whether they be SMEs or multi-national companies. Workers have different training needs and it is about identifying the best methods for each of them, whether that be one-on-one training, classroom scenarios, e-learning or remote learning.
“The other thing that is important is then being able to evaluate that training - what worked well and how we can make that even better going forward.”
“It is very rewarding to achieve this qualification, which is official recognition for a role I was already doing. It has equipped me with the right techniques to provide the best training services to our customers.”
Having successfully achieved the qualification, Val is now an Associate Member of CIPD and has access to the latest training information to keep up-to-date with changing trends and ideas to benefit LONEALERT customers.
Val’s customer services abilities are further enhanced by her multilingual skills. With a Masters Degree in French, 10 years’ experience working in sales and customer support in France, experience working in a hospital in Germany and currently learning Spanish, she is in a perfect position to offer the best possible training and support to foreign workers and companies overseas wanting to implement LONEALERT.
Mathew Colley, LONEALERT’s Sales & Marketing Manager, said: “Providing the best customer service is something we pride ourselves on at LONEALERT. As well as our range of devices, featuring the latest patented technology, we want to know our customers have the best possible training and support.
LONEALERT has invested in Val I am therefore delighted that she has been officially recognised with this qualification so our customers can be fully assured that they are receiving the best service, support and training.
