LONEALERT will be presenting its wide range of unique lone worker protection solutions at the Portable Sanitation & Welfare Expo 2016 - and giving businesses the chance to win a prize worth £3,000.
As well as showcasing its leading lone worker protection devices, LONEALERT’s Mathew Colley has also been chosen as one of the event’s industry experts to educate visitors about keeping lone workers safe.
The Expo - the UK’s only event dedicated to portable sanitation, liquid waste, modular buildings and welfare industries - will take place on February 24 and 25 at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
LONEALERT’s parent company, Advance IT Group, will be giving away a 12-month subscription that allows companies access to essential business tools for five workers worth £3,000 as part of the Expo. The winning business will also get a 12-month subscription to the LONEALERT Smartphone Application complete with 24/7 monitoring to keep lone workers safe.
Businesses entering to attend the Expo up until February 20 will be automatically entered into a raffle draw for the chance of winning the prize.
Mathew Colley, Sales & Marketing Manager at LONEALERT, will host one of the ‘Ask The Expert’ booths throughout the event and will also deliver a 30-minute speech from 1.45pm on Wednesday, February 24 about developing and embedding effective policies and procedures for lone workers.
LONEALERT is a unique, comprehensive suite of products to protect staff working alone, remotely or who are vulnerable. It uses complex patented technology written by Birmingham-based Advance IT Group and is fast becoming recognised as the leading international voice in lone worker protection.
Its solutions include a simple text format, Smartphone app, a ‘Man Down’ device which automatically detects falls or an ‘Anywhere’ device ideal for remote locations that works via GPS without a mobile phone signal.
The company was recently chosen by Portable Sanitation Europe - one of the organisers of the Expo - to keep its own workforces safe in the line of duty. As part of the partnership, PSE member companies are all now entitled to a significant discount on LONEALERT packages.
Mathew said: “From lorry drivers to installation staff, on-site supervisors and customer services workers, the range of jobs – and risks – to portable sanitation workers is vast and varied.
“For many, the mention of portable sanitation units brings with it images of music festivals flooded with thousands of revellers surrounded by flowing alcohol or construction sites littered with potentially-hazardous machinery and equipment.
“Workers in the industry face daily risks, whether it be the lone truck driver travelling the length and breadth of the country to deliver portable sanitation units, the installation worker feeling vulnerable surrounded by swathes of strangers away from home, the on-site supervisor left on a building site with unfamiliar industrial equipment or the secretary facing the wrath of possibly aggressive customers.
“But the LONEALERT package offers the solution to keep every worker in the industry safe and secure in the line of duty.
“It is wonderful to be displaying our products and providing an expert voice at the Expo to showcase our solutions for this industry.”
