The LONEALERT Text-In service is designed to be quick, simple and efficient to use. By simply sending one text a lone worker can be checked, logged, and located.
A flexible service that gives us peace of mind, knowing our workers are safe.
However, to Community First, Advance IT Groups' LONEALERT Text-In service is an ‘extremely useful safety tool’ that allows Community First to protect their lone workers, and most importantly know they are safe.
Using LONEALERT is practical and uncomplicated for Community First as it works on any mobile phone. At the same time it is quick and easy to train their staff to use it.
Rather than continue using their previously troublesome buddy system, Community First switched to LONEALERT Text-In as it offered excellent value for money and reliable service. All of their staff are comfortable using it.

The view of Community First:
Helen Lines, Service Manager
The LONEALERT service has been absolutely excellent, and very simple and easy to use. We are very, very happy with the service. It’s brilliant!
"We often have several workers out on their own at any one time, either visiting residential locations or in the middle of a field somewhere, so LONEALERT definitely gives us peace of mind knowing our lone workers are safe, whilst at the same time it helps us fulfill our health and safety obligations.
"We used to have a lot of issues with our old buddy system, people forgetting to check in and so on, but this is so much more reliable and good value.
"Notably, the LONEALERT service fulfilled all of our lone worker needs and it was very cost effective. Everybody seems to have a mobile phone these days making it very flexible and simple to set up, meaning our staff members were all integrated into the system quickly and simply. It has been well worth fitting into our budget."
The LONEALERT service can be added to any mobile phone, once a user is linked to the system they save two numbers on to their phone named ‘LA Text’ and ‘LA Panic’. After users check in by text message, the LONEALERT system will check up on them at desired intervals. An escalation process is started if a check in is missed. "The Advance IT staff are also very helpful. There were some teething issues after they had set up the system and we went live. One brief phone call and they are straight on it to solve any problems.
"We have certainly found the LONEALERT service very reliable, obviously we have quite a few missed timers and alerts go off. However, one instance where we had an alert go off we called every emergency number related to the employee and could not get through to the worker. Our policy at this stage is to visit the workers last known location.
Upon arriving at the location we found them next door with a neighbour who had fallen ill. Our lone worker had left their phone unattended to wait with this neighbour while an ambulance was on its way.
