We are delighted to announce updates to a number of LONEALERT's lone worker protection devices, lone worker apps and services, which will make it even simpler for users to stay safe going forward.
Keeping lone workers safe and happy is at the heart of what we do, which is why we have listened to feedback from our customers to improve our system with additional automated features which will streamline the check-in and check-out process on a number of LONEALERT's devices.
The new features will go live on Monday, 16th December, on the Access range's Check-call service (0207 0722581), SOS Fob (Check call), Man Down (Green call button), Man Down X (call button), Protector/ATEX (Button 3) and Protector Pro/ATEX (Button 3).
The devices currently use a voice-activated system which requires lone workers to manually speak to create their timers and accompanying messages. But the launch of an automated timer setting system will simplify the process and reduce the potential for disruption caused by accents or background noise.
The new process will see lone workers given two options - 'start' or 'unique' - when they initiate a check-in call. By selecting the option 'start', an automatic timer will be activated based on the account's default time setting.
The manual check-in process will still be available by selecting the 'unique' option.
As well as setting timers, the new updated system will also simplify the process of updating and cancelling set timers.
Currently, users have to create a new timer with a length of zero minutes for the devices to recognise they want the existing timer to be cancelled, or manually input a new timer length for it to be updated.
However when users initiate check-in calls on the new updated system they will be advised if a timer is currently active and given three options - 'restart', 'update' and 'cancel'. Using the 'restart' function will automatically activate a new timer for the account's default time setting, whilst using the 'update' function will allow the user to create a new timer manually. Selecting 'cancel' will cancel the current set timer, regardless of length.
As part of the improvement works, leaving a message to accompany a check-in or check-out will now also be optional.
Mathew Colley, LONEALERT's Sales & Marketing Manager, said: "We pride ourselves of providing lone worker protection solutions that are both effective and efficient to keep lone workers safe whilst being simple to use.
"After some very helpful feedback from users, we are delighted to announce we have revised the check-in and check-out process on a number of our popular devices.
"The current process of workers speaking into the devices to create timers has a proven track record but the addition of these new features not only reduces the potential of disruption from variables such as accents and background noise, but also provide the user with a more informative, streamlined and simpler procedure.
"We are lucky to be able to constantly move our solutions forward thanks to our in-house team of developers, and are delighted to be updating our devices to create an even more positive experience for lone workers."
We will be keeping you informed every step of the way as we move closer to the launch of our new features for our lone worker alarm and related services. However, if you require any further information or there are any questions you would like answered, please email [email protected]
